BSBTRGDCLUB

The ‘BACKSTREETBOYSTOTALRUDEGHETTODANCINGCLUB‘, or ‘BSBTRGDCLUB’ for short, are Propro and Jillijill from Montreal. Though quite new to producing music and DJing, they have done their share of remixes, including one for Baille funk greats Bonde do Role (Brazil) and have many more in the works. You may be asking, ‘What’s with the ridiculously long name anyway?’ Here’s what they say about that: ''The concept of the name is that we want to keep producing and DJing… but if we go commercial or mainstream, people would most likely not be able to pronounce or remember our name. It’s like hiding our faces/identity with a mask, sort of like ‘anti-marketing’.'' If that idea works or not we’ll have to wait and see.

E.R: How the started to BSBTRGDCLUB?

we wanted a concept that could destroy the falling music industry, so we created a group with a too long name, and with no logo or no concept other than ''having a veryvery long name that would fuck people up''
plus, if you compare to some other groups that uses acronym and shit, the name is still fucked up cause you cant ''read'' any word in the acronym, thats just letters and club.
But the very main idea of the project is to produce and remix a lot. this way, the name is always up in music blogs, we make friends everywhere, and finally some people now think that our name is normal, they try to remember it and they focus on the music we do plus the performance we give when we dj.

E.R: About the remix of Bonde do Role. As you know Bonde do Role? what you think of brazilian baile funk carioca?

we'd like to party in brazil with some baile funk masters and drug lords

E.R: You know other Brazilian's bands?

not much

E.R: What are your next projects?

we're releasing a remix for matt cox next ep on electric kink
working on our first ep
remixing le matos, 50 cent, lil wayne, avalon omega, afgan raiders and more
we're also djing a lot in montreal but we'd like to travel more.
and of course, quit our part-time job is the verynext project.
